Appeal for information following serious assault in Airdrie
Detectives in Lanarkshire are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault in Airdrie.
Around 4.15pm on Monday, 1 August, 2022, a 39-year-old man sustained a serious facial injury when he was assaulted in the Luing area of the town, near to Varnsdorf Way.
He was taken to University Hospital Monklands for treatment.
Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace whoever is responsible and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable David Forde, of Coatbridge CID, said: "This incident saw a man sustain a serious facial injury and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.
"I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something suspicious to contact us.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone with potential private CCTV, dashcam or video doorbell footage."
