Appeal for information following serious assault at Irvine Beach
Detectives in Ayrshire are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault at Irvine Beach.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of youths near the car park area around 5pm on Thursday, 11 August, 2022.
The 23-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse and later released following treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has dash-cam footage of the area at the time to contact police.
Detective Constable Lorna Kerr said: “The beach has been very busy this week and I would ask any witnesses who were in the area at the time, or anyone with information about the incident, to please get in touch.”
