Appeal following serious crash on A725 near High Blantyre
Road Policing officers in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision on the A725 East Kilbride Expressway near High Blantyre.
The incident happened around 9.40am on Sunday, 31 July, when a blue Peugeot 308 travelling westbound left the roadway, colliding with a number of trees before coming to a stop on the grass verge. The 27-year-old male driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
Sergeant Craig McDonald said: “We are trying to establish exactly how the incident occurred and what happened to cause the car to leave the road.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time who witnessed the incident. I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that may help with our collision investigation to get in touch.
