Appeal following a serious assault on Carntyne Road near the junction with Greyfriars, Glasgow
Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault on Carntyne Road, Glasgow, on Tuesday, 2 August, 2022.
A 39-year-old man was attacked by two other men close to the junction with Greyfriars Street, at around 6pm.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, with serious injuries.
The two suspects are described as:
Suspect one – white, in his 30s, 5’6” and stocky build, grey hooded top and orange high-visibility work trousers.
Suspect two – white, in his 30s, 5’10” and skinny build, all black clothing, work trousers.
They were seen running off towards Greyfriars Street.
Detective Sergeant Graham Clarke, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “This was a violent and unprovoked attack in broad daylight.
“This is a busy street with lots of shops. Think back were you in the area and did you see anything which may help us identify these men?
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are relying on members of the public to provide us with as much information as possible.
