Appeal after teenager assaulted in Port Glasgow
Officers in Greenock are appealing for information and witnesses following an assault and attempted theft in Port Glasgow.
Around 5pm on Wednesday, 10 August, 2022, a 16-year-old boy sustained minor injuries when he was assaulted by two youths who also tried to steal his motorbike on the cycle path near to Crosshill Place, Port Glasgow.
The suspects are described as each being around 15 or 16-years-old, slim build, dark hair, one was wearing a red t-shirt and the other a grey hoodie.
Detective Constable Laura Sokolov, from Greenock CID, said: “This incident saw a teenager sustain minor injuries and it is vital we trace the individuals responsible.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us.”
