Officers in Kilmarnock are appealing for witnesses after a disturbance in Howard Park
Officers in Kilmarnock are appealing for witnesses after a disturbance in Howard Park.
Around 9pm on Friday, 8 April, a group of youths were approached by four men in the park. It is believed one of the men was in possession of a weapon.
There were no reports of any injuries and the man made off towards McClelland Drive.
He is described as white, in his early 20s, with short fair hair. He was wearing a dark short collar jacket, black skinny style jogging trousers and black Nike Air Zoom trainers.
Detective Constable Gordon Thomson said: “It is vital we speak to anyone who saw this man around the park or heading in the direction of McClelland Drive. I would also ask the youths to come forward and tell us exactly what happened so we can establish if any criminality was involved.
“Officers will also be carrying out extra patrols of the area for public reassurance.
“I would like to appeal to the youths, anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the man or anyone with information about the incident to contact Police Scotland. You can do this by calling 101 and quoting reference 3751 of 8 April, 2022 or contact CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
