Man named following fatal road crash in Houston

Police Scotland can confirm that the man who died following a road crash on Houston Road in Houston, Johnstone, has been identified as 48-year-old Scott Sanderson, from the Johnstone area.

Emergency services attended following a report of a car on fire around 11.50pm on Saturday, 26 March, 2022.

Scott Sanderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Adnan Alam, of the Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Scott’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing and we continue to urge anyone with information, or possible dashcam footage from the area, to call 101, quoting incident number 4563 of 26 March.”
