Appeal after man seriously injured in A9 crash
Road policing officers are appealing for witnesses after a crash on the A9 around five miles north of Aviemore.
The incident happened near Kinveachy shortly after 12.50pm on Thursday, 21 April and involved a white Fiat Ducato camper van and a white Izuzu box van.
The 77-year-old male driver of the camper van was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to serious injuries following the incident.
The driver of Izuzu was checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service but did not require any further treatment.
The road was closed for around five and a half hours to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Ally Mackay of the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to this incident.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have seen either vehicle beforehand. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage.
“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1346 of 21 April.”
