Woman convicted of murdering her husband in Clydebank
A woman has been convicted of murdering her husband within a flat in Clydebank.
Lorna Middleton, 36, was convicted at the High Court in Glasgow today (Thursday 16 September) after the incident happened last year.
Police were called to a disturbance on Singer Street around 3.50am on Friday, 26 June, 2020. There had been a party within a flat and officers found William Middleton, 38, lying unresponsive on the floor with stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was subsequently arrested.
Detective Inspector Erin Renwick, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "I want to thank members of the public who responded well to our enquiries during the challenges of the coronavirus restrictions at that time.
"The nature of this case made it especially difficult for those affected by it, and we hope today's verdict brings some comfort to Mr Middleton's family."
