Witness appeal after man assaulted and robbed in East Lothian
Police in East Lothian are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed within a flat in Tranent.
The incident happened around 8pm on Sunday, 19 September, on Well Wynd. The victim suffered facial injuries and his wallet was stolen within the flat, before the disturbance continued onto the street.
It's believed the incident was a targeted attack and there was no wider threat to the public.
Detective Constable Marion Anderson, of Dalkeith CID, said: "We're appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious shortly before the incident or during the incident itself.
"We're trying to piece together exactly what happened so any information may prove to be important."
