Appeal for information following serious road crash in East Calder
Officers are appealing for information following a serious road crash in East Calder, resulting in a 49-year-old man being seriously injured.
Around 9.45am on Saturday 11 September, 2021, police received a report of a head-on collision involving an orange Vauxhall Mokka and a black Toyota Avensis on Langton Road, East Calder.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the Vauxhall Mokka was taken to hospital after suffering significant injuries. Medical staff describe the man’s condition as critical.
The driver of the Toyota car, a man, aged 53, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed to allow crash scene investigators to conduct enquiries at the location and officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick said: “Our enquiries are under way to establish the full circumstances of this collision. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area with information to contact us. In particular, I would ask motorists with dash cam devices to check their footage as they may have images which could assist our investigation.”
