Pursuit and Fatal Road Crash – Great Northern Road, Aberdeen – 16 August 2021 – UPDATE

With reference to our previous release regarding a pursuit and subsequent serious road crash on Great Northern Road, Aberdeen on Monday, 16 August, 2021, please note:

The 48-year-old man who was injured following the crash died within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Saturday, 11 September, 2021.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 21 September, 2021.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

As is standard procedure, the matter has been referred to the Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) with respect to any prior police involvement.
