Man named following fatal road crash in Nitshill, Glasgow

 

Police Scotland can confirm the identity of a man who has died following a road crash in Glasgow.

He was 19-year-old Jay Morrison from Barrhead.

The incident took place around 11.35pm on Friday, 17 September, 2021 on Nitshill Road, near to its junction with Levern Bridge Road.

Emergency services attended the scene and the 19-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment of injuries where he died in the early hours of Saturday, 18 September, 2021.

Sergeant Kenny Malaney, of Police Scotland’s Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Morrison at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 4182 of Friday, 17 September, 2021."
