Man charged following Tranent thefts

Police in East Lothian can confirm that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into thefts from properties in Tranent.

The thefts took place during the early hours of Sunday, 9 May, 2021. A number of personal items were stolen from two properties, along with three vehicles.

The accused is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Thursday, 9 September, 2021). Further enquiries into the thefts remain ongoing.
