Man, 34, arrested after assault in Kilmarnock

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault on John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock.

The incident happened around 6pm on Sunday, 29 August.

A 33-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment following the incident.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the 34-year-old is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court at a later date.
