Break-in at mosque on Craigshill Road, Livingston
Detectives are appealing for information after a break-in at a mosque in Livingston.
Entry was forced to the building on Craigshill Road sometime between 10pm on Sunday, 5 September and 6am on Monday, 6 September.
A safe inside the mosque was forced open and a sum of cash estimated to be worth a mid-three figure sum was stolen. Electrical equipment was also removed from the building.
Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank of Livingston Police Station said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the area overnight between Sunday and Monday to get in touch.
“We would also ask anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV from the local area to check this and let us know if you have captured anything which may be of use.
