Appeal following assault in Glasgow city centre
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Glasgow city centre.
The incident happened on Bell Street around 5.40pm on Sunday, 29 August.
A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious injury following the incident.
Officers are working to identify a man who is described as being in his early 20s, around 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and of average build in connection with the incident. He was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
Detective Constable Vhairi Mills of Greater Glasgow CID said: “Our enquiries so far have found that a number of other people were in the area at the time and we would urge anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to an officer to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to police on 101, quoting 3075 of 29 August. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
