Suspicious fire in Armadale

Around 6.45am on Saturday, 9 October, 2021, police were made aware a garden shed was on fire in Dell Avenue in Armadale. Emergency services attended. No-one was injured in the incident but the shed has been destroyed.

Initial enquiries indicate the fire was set deliberately.

Door-to-door enquiries have been carried out and relevant CCTV footage will be viewed for any information which could assist enquiries.

Detective Constable Lynn Myles said: I’m appealing for anyone with any information to contact us. Did you see anything suspicious or odd, did you see anyone acting suspiciously? Any small piece of information could be useful I our enquiries, so please do pass it on.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2021 of 9 October. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give your information anonymously.
