Serious Road Crash - A75, Gretna to Stranraer road, Dumfries
Police are appealing for witnesses following a three vehicle road crash on the A75, Gretna to Stranraer road, Dumfries, on Friday, 15 October, 2021.
The crash happened around 1.40 pm on Friday afternoon westbound on the A75 near to the Bloomfield Roundabout and involved a white/blue BMW motorcycle and two cars, a red Mini Cooper and a grey Skoda Superb. The rider of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old man, was initially taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary but has since been transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where medical staff describe his condition as serious.
The occupants of the other vehicles involved were not injured.
Constable Scott Kelly, Dumfries and Galloway Roads Policing Unit, said:
"Although we have managed to speak to people at the scene at the time of the crash, we are keen to hear from motorists, particularly those travelling in the opposite direction, east on the A75 from the Bloomfield Roundabout at the time. If you have any dash-cam footage from the area, or any information that may assist our investigation, then please call officers via 101 and quote reference number 1652 of Friday, 15 October, 2021."
