Housebreaking - McGregor Crescent, Whitburn
Police are appealing for information after a white Volkswagen Golf R was stolen following a housebreaking in Whitburn on Tuesday, 5 October, 2021.
Around 3.10 am, a house in McGregor Crescent, Whitburn was broken into and the keys to the Volkswagen Golf R were taken and used to steal the car.
Detective Constable Marc Lunn, Livingston CID, said:
"We believe that this car was specifically targeted because it's a high spec car.
"McGregor Crescent and the surrounding streets are residential and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around this car or the house in the early hours of this morning.
"It's possible that the thief or thieves were in the area earlier in the day looking for cars to steal, so if you have alarm bell or dash-cam footage of the street between midnight and 3.30 am, then we would be keen to view the footage.
