Assault with intent to rob, Saucel Crescent, Paisley
Detectives are appealing for information following an assault with intent to rob incident which occurred in Paisley in the early hours of Sunday, 31 October, 2021.
Around 2.30am a 35-year-old man was outside his flat in Saucel Crescent when he was approached by two men who were not known to him.
One of the men threatened the man with a knife and demanded he hand over his phone.
The man managed to run back inside his property where he contacted police.
The first suspect is described a white, 5ft10, with a dark beard and was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up.
The second suspect is described as white and wearing a dark hooded top with a hood up.
Detective Constable Jamie Howarth from Paisley CID said: “This appears to have been a random and opportunistic incident and thankfully the victim was no injured.
“It is vital we trace the individuals involved and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Saucel Crescent in the early hours of Sunday morning to please get in touch.
“I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling through at the time to check their footage in case they have captured the suspects, or anything else which could be significant.
