Appeal following disturbance in the Whitletts area of Ayr
Officers are appealing for information following a disturbance in the Whitletts area of Ayr.
The incident happened around 9.25pm on Monday, 25 October, when a 60-year-old man sustained minor injuries within a property in Whitletts Road in the town. He did not require hospital treatment.
Three men were seen in the area at the time. One was wearing a green jacket with a hood. The other two were wearing black clothing.
A small white car was also seen parked in the street around 9.25pm and may have been driven around surrounding streets.
Detective Inspector Andrea Templeton said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, both before and after the incident, as well as anyone with dash-cam footage or private CCTV.
“In particular we are seeking information about the men seen in the area as we believe they can help with our enquiries. If the men themselves see this appeal then please get in touch.
“Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. There is no risk to the wider public and officers remain at the scene while the investigation continues.”
