Appeal after car set on fire in Whitburn
Police are appealing for information after a car was set on fire in Whitburn.
Around 3.20am on Friday, 22 October, officers received a report of a car on fire in Turnhigh Road, Whitburn, West Lothian.
The fire, which spread to two other vehicles causing substantial damage to all three, was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and nobody was hurt as a result.
Officers are treating the fire as deliberate and are appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch.
Detective Constable Rachel Royan said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless act.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which may assist us to get in touch. I would also ask anyone in the area to check dashcam footage and private CCTV.”
