Police Scotland is appealing for information following a road crash on the M8 on Wednesday, 26 May, 2021.
Around 9.50pm, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving six cars on the M8 westbound carriageway near to junction 16. A Vauxhall Mokka SUV type vehicle was also involved but failed to stop and drove off up the M8 coming off at junction 16.
Emergency services attended and one man reported being injured.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident. Officers are keen to trace the driver of the orange or brown coloured Vauxhall Mokka, as the driver may have information which could assist in the investigation.
Officers are also appealing for any other motorists who were on the motorway around the time of the incident who may have seen anything to contact them. In particular, anyone with a dash cam is asked to check their footage as they could have captured images with could assist police enquiries.
