Police investigating the theft of 1000l of diesel in Moray
Officers in Moray are appealing for information after a significant quantity of red diesel was stolen last weekend from the Aultmore area, near Buckie.
The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between noon on Saturday, 22 May, and 6.30am on Monday, 24 May. Around 1000 litres of red diesel was stolen after a tank had been broken into within the Forestry Commission area.
Constable Christopher Mackinnon, from Buckie Police Station, said: “Enquiries into this theft are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to please come forward.
“We are also asking people to be wary if they are offered any red diesel for sale, and to consider where it may have come from. If you have any concerns, contact police and the matter can be investigated.”
