Man charged in connection with death of man in Paisley

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of John Dalziel in Paisley.

Mr Dalziel, 47,was found within a property on Whites Bridge Avenue in the town after emergency services were called to a report of a fire around 10.05pm on Thursday, 6 May.

He died shortly after he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

The 38-year-old man is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 11 May, 2021. A full report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
