Appeal following linked indecent assaults in Glasgow
Police Scotland is appealing for the public’s help to trace a man detectives believe is responsible for two recent assaults on women in Glasgow.
The first incident happened at around 5.25pm on Tuesday, 4 May, 2021 as woman was walking on London Road. She was approached by a man who indecently assaulted her.
A second incident happened at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, 19 May, 2021 on Abercromby Street. A woman was approached and assaulted by a man who walked off in the direction of Crownpoint Road.
Through CCTV enquiries officers believe the same may be responsible and are eager to trace him.
He is described as white, aged in his late teens or early twenties, medium build and around 6ft 2ins tall. He has a pale complexion with short brown hair and each time has been wearing dark coloured clothing.
Detective Constable Del McArthur from Shettleston Police Station said: “We have been conducting enquiries into this first incident when a second similar incident was reported yesterday (19 May). We believe the same man is responsible and these incidents are linked.
“I’d ask anyone who recognises him, or who may have seen him behaving suspiciously or inappropriately in the London Road or Bridgeton areas of Glasgow, to contact police.”
