Appeal after man assaulted in Rutherglen
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Rutherglen.
The incident happened around 4pm on Thursday, 13 May near to the underpass on Burnhill Street at its junction with Mill Street.
The 49-year-old victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are particularly keen to identify a man described as being around 18 to 30-years-old and wearing a blue tracksuit in connection with the incident.
He was last seen running from the area in the direction of the underpass to Chapel Street.
Detective Constable Ashley Hind of CID at Cambuslang Police Station said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may be able to help to come forward.
"We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV from the area.
