Man seriously assaulted in Glenmavis, Airdrie
Detectives are continuing enquiries following a serious assault in Airdrie on Sunday, 7 March, 2021.
Around 8.20pm, police received a report a man had been attacked outside a house on Rydenmains Road, Glenmavis in Airdrie. The man had been assaulted by a group of up to four men. He received an arm injury and was taken to Monklands hospital.
There is no information on the men responsible, other than they got into a dark coloured car following the incident.
Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area and are checking CCTV footage from the surrounding areas for any information which could assist the investigation.
Detective Constable Graeme Easton said: “The motive for this attack is unknown and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us. In particular, I would encourage any taxi drivers who were in that area to get in touch with us. I am also asking motorists to check their dash cams as they could have images of the incident or the car which could aid our enquiries.”
