Man charged following robbery in Ayr

Police Scotland can confirm that a 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery, which took place in Ayr last week.

The incident took place at the Farmfoods store in Main Street, around 6.40pm on Friday, 26 March.

The man is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 30 March).

Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander for South Ayrshire, said: “I’d like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation. With their help, we have been able to bring the matter to a swift and successful conclusion.”
