Appeal following serious road crash, A90 south of Ellon, Aberdeenshire
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a two car crash on the A90 near Ellon, Aberdeenshire, on Thursday, 11 March.
The crash happened around 10.20pm at the junction with the B9000 near Tipperty and involved a black BMW 318 and a red Ford Fiesta which were travelling southbound.
A 23-year-old woman, a passenger in the Fiesta, and a 29-year old man, the driver of the BMW, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 24-year-old driver of the Fiesta was also taken to hospital with minor injuries. The 28-year-old passenger of the BMW was not injured.
The road was closed while officers carried out collision investigation work. The northbound carriageway was reopened around 2.30 am and the southbound reopened around 10am.
Road policing Sergeant Craig McNeill said: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened or the cars involved prior to the crash or earlier in the evening to get in touch.
“In addition we are asking anyone with dash-cam footage who may have been travelling in the area at the time to check for anything that may help our investigation to also get in touch.”
