Appeal following serious assault in Corsehill Park, Ayr
Detectives in Ayr are appealing for information as part of enquiries into the serious assault of a 19-year-old man.
The incident happened between 8.30pm and 8.50pm on Saturday, 6 March, within Corsehill Park.
The victim was within the park with a number of other people, when he was attacked by two men. He was taken to hospital as a result, where he remains with serious but stable injuries.
The first suspect is described as being white, around 16-years-old, 5ft 8 with a skinny build. He was wearing a navy baseball cap, black puffa body-warmer, navy tracksuit top, navy tracksuit bottoms with an orange stripe down each leg, and navy trainers.
The second suspect is described as being around 5ft 9 or 10, with a medium build. He was wearing a black beanie hat, black puffa body-warmer, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers with grey mesh near the laces.
Detective Sergeant Andrea Templeton, from Kilmarnock CID, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area or believes they have information which could assist us to please come forward.
