Appeal following break-in, butchers, Hawick
Officers are appealing after a business premises in Sandbed, Hawick, was broken into around 8.20pm on Wednesday, 17 March, 2021.
Three men were seen at the time of the break-in at Going Native butchers and they are described as white, wearing dark clothing.
Officers believe they made off towards Buccleuch Street and may have gone through gardens in Beaconsfield Terrace and on to the west end of the town.
Detective Constable Andrew Loughlin from Galashiels CID said: “Entry was forced into the premises and a number of items were taken including a till, a money tin and charity box. These items were found nearby minus the cash, believed to be a two figure sum.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible and I would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious at the premises or in nearby streets and gardens to get in touch.
“In particular we would ask people to check any dash-cam footage they might have if they were driving nearby or any private CCTV that might help with our investigation.
