Appeal as officers continue to investigate Elgin assault
We’re appealing for the public’s help as we continue to investigate an assault in Elgin one month since the incident took place.
A 35-year-old woman was walking her dog on a public footpath off the A941, behind Thornhill Drive, around 8.30pm on Wednesday, 10 February, 2021.
The woman was pushed to the ground and physically assaulted before the man responsible fled. He is described as being approximately 6ft tall, average build and was wearing a black jacket with a snood over his face.
Constable Danielle Jack of Elgin Police Station said: “Since this incident happened we’ve been conducting various enquiries and there’s been an increase in patrols to the area.
“However, one month on, we continue to investigate and we are asking for the local community’s assistance.
“Anyone who may have information about this incident or this man is urged to contact 101, quoting incident 0907 of 11 February, 2021, or report this anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
