Appeal after man injured in Rutherglen assault
Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured after being assaulted in Rutherglen.
The incident happened around 9pm on Tuesday, 9 March on a footpath of Greenhill Road in the town, with the suspect running off In the direction of Mill Street.
The 30-year-old victim suffered serious injuries to his face and hand which required treatment at Glasgow Royal Infirmary after being struck with a bladed item.
Detective Constable Jennifer Thirtle of Cambuslang Police Station said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have seen or heard a disturbance around 9pm on Tuesday evening to get in touch.
"In addition we would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously or loitering in the area around Greenhill Road before the incident took place.
