Around 6.30pm on Saturday, 5 June, 2021, officers noticed some suspicious activity at Jellyholm Filter Station. Further enquiry by officers resulted in the discovery of a cannabis cultivation site with plants worth an estimated street value of more than £185,000.
Two men, aged 20 and 32 were arrested in connection with the discovery. Both men appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court.
Sergeant Ally Goldie, Community Sergeant for Alloa said: “This has been a substantial drugs recovery, which had the potential to produce controlled drugs worth millions of pounds regularly. By our officers being visible and on patrol in their community areas, they observed suspicious activity which they acted on immediately, resulting in this successful recovery and severe disruption being caused to drugs production in the Clackmnannanshire area.”
