Officers are appealing for information after a church in Kelso was broken into.
Police received a report of a break in at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Belmont Place in Kelso on Friday 18 June, 2021. Officers believe the break-in occurred between the hours of 7pm on Thursday, 17 June, 2021 and 9.15am on Friday, 18 June.
The suspect has forced their way into the office of the church and stole a money box containing cash.
Detective Constable Ashley Black said: We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during that time to contact us. Perhaps you saw someone loitering outside the church who looked a little odd or suspicious and thought nothing of it at the time. Any small piece of information could assist our enquiries, so please do get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0784 of 18 June, 2021.
