Man seriously assault in Caldon Road, Irvine

Detectives at Saltcoats are appealing for information after a 58 year-old man was seriously assaulted in Irvine on Saturday, 5 June.

Around 9.50pm on Saturday evening, the man was an address in Caldon Road, when four men came to the house and seriously assaulted him.

Police and Ambulance attended, and the injured man was taken by Ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where he was treated for lacerations then later released.

The four men responsible were all wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Ross Keenan of Saltcoats Police Station said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the local area and checking CCTV footage to gather more information on the four men responsible for this violent attack.

“I would ask anyone who has information on their identity, or anyone with information that may assist our ongoing investigation to contact officers through 101 quoting reference 4162 of 5 June.  Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
