Appeal following serious assault in Johnstone, Renfrewshire
Police in Renfrewshire are appealing for information following a serious assault in Johnstone.
The incident happened around 11.30pm on Saturday, 26 June, 2021 on Houston Road near to Crosslee Park.
A 47-year-old man was assaulted by three men and sustained a serious head injury before being taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The group of men then continued along Houston Road and headed in the direction of Houston Primary School.
Detective Constable Paul Fanning, of Renfrewshire CID, said: “Thankfully the man has been released from hospital and has not sustained life threatening injuries.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the assault to get in contact with police.
“I would also ask if there is any motorists or homeowners with possible dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist with our investigation to come forward and speak to officers.
