Wilful fire-raising, Pitkerro Road, Dundee

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Dundee in the early hours of Saturday, 10 July, 2021.

Emergency services were called to Pitkerro Road around 2.15am and found the vehicle to be extensively damaged.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which police are treating as wilful.

Sergeant Wayne Brand from Maryfield Police Station said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Pitkerro Road in the early hours of this morning, and saw anything suspicious, to please get in touch.

“In particular we would urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling through to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.
