Man jailed for five years for raping woman in Glenrothes
A man who raped a woman in Glenrothes in 2019 has been sent to prison for five years.
Daniel Ross was sentenced at Edinburgh High Court on Thursday 22 July 2021.
The 36-year-old targeted the woman at an address in the town on Sunday 24 February 2019.
Detective Sergeant Calum Lawrie of Fife’s Divisional Rape Investigation Unit said: “I would like to thank the victim who showed great courage in reporting this particularly distressing crime.
"We welcome this conviction of Ross and hope it provides some degree of closure for the victim.”
