Man charged in connection with death, Falside Crescent, Bathgate

A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a death at Falside Crescent in Bathgate.

Officers were called to a property in the area around 8pm on Monday, 5 July.

A 42-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Following a post mortem examination his death is being treated as murder.

He can be identified as Keith Allan from Bathgate.

The 32-year-old man is expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 7 July.

Detective Inspector Brian Manchester said: “Our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone affected by this tragic incident.

“Local residents may continue to see a police presence in the area but this is being treated as a contained incident and there was no risk to the wider public at any time.”
