Man charged following weapons sighting in Prospecthill Circus, Glasgow

Following reports of a man being seen in possession of two weapons in the Prospecthill Circus area of Glasgow on Wednesday, 7 July, Police Scotland can now confirm that a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the matter.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Friday, 9 July).

Inspector Crawford Inglis, from Cathcart Police Station, said: "I'd like to thank the community for their assistance with our investigation, following what was clearly a distressing situation."
