Man arrested in connection with assaults in Smith Street, Ayr

With reference to our previous appeal regarding a 54 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman assaulted in Smith Street, Ayr on Saturday, 3 July, please note:

 

A 26 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with these assaults.  He has been released on an undertaking to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.

 

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
