Eid Ul Adha - 19-20 July 2021
Police Scotland would like to wish an Eid Mubarak to the Muslim Community (Eid–Ul-Adha) which is a significant event for followers of the Muslim faith.
This year the celebration shall be observed between Monday, 19 July and Tuesday, 20 July, 2021 with mosques throughout the country observing Eid-Ul-Adha (restrictions permitting).
Police Scotland continue to support communities to celebrate religious events within the Scottish Governments safety guidelines at this time. Whereby local officers continue to engage with religious leaders and members of religious establishments in their area to raise awareness of the current legislation, ensuring that both religious and local communities are supported and understanding of any forthcoming increased activity and traffic at local mosques during this time.
Should any members of our Muslim communities note any concerns surrounding local mosques in their area(s) or community tensions, please ensure that these are reported to Police Scotland without delay for the attention of local officers to investigate.
Community support and relations are imperative to Safer Communities, your support is key to ensuring Police Scotland ‘Keep People Safe’.
