Appeal for information after woman was assault in Hill Road, Cumbernauld
Detectives in Coatbridge are appealing for information after 21-year-old woman was assaulted in Cumbernauld.
The victim was walking in Hill Road at around 5.25am on Sunday, 18 July, 2021 when the incident happened.
Detective Constable Katy Goldie of Coatbridge CID said :
“The woman was walking near to the underpass at Berry Hill Road when a man approached her from behind and knocked her to the ground. She was unhurt but extremely upset by the incident.
“We are carrying out a review of CCTV and door to door enquiries in effort to identify the man. He has been described as between 5ft 5inches to 6ft tall, of thin build, with blonde/ginger hair and was wearing a light coloured baseball cap,
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the assault, or anyone who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0917 of Sunday 18 July Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
