Appeal after man seriously assaulted in Stratford, East Kilbride
Detectives in Lanarkshire are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old man was assaulted in East Kilbride on Saturday, 24 July, 2021.
Around 11.30pm on Saturday evening, the 23-year-old was walking on the path at Stratford, near to Salisbury, when he was seriously assaulted by another man.
He was treated at University Hospital Hairmyres for a head injury then later released.
The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, with short, dark-coloured hair, and was wearing a red top. He was last seen heading in the direction of Neville with two other people.
Detective Constable Ashley Hind, of Lanarkshire CID, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident, including viewing local CCTV footage to gather more information.
“I am now appealing for the assistance of the public and would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the suspect in the area around the time of the incident to contact police.”
