Man charged with firearms incident in East End of Glasgow on Tuesday, 12 January, 2021
Police Scotland can confirm that a 34-year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a firearms incident in the East End of Glasgow on Tuesday, 12 January, 2021.
Three men aged 28, 31 and 55 years were sitting within a white coloured Ford Transit van outside the ‘One Stop Shop’ in Tollcross Road at around 7.40am, when a firearm was discharged at the van.
Both the 28-year-old man and the 55-year-old man were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were treated for injuries. They were later released from hospital. The 31-year-old man was not injured.
Enquiries are continuing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 January, 2021.
