Youths charged over wilful fire-raising, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline

Five youths have been arrested and charged in connection with a fire that caused damage to memorial benches in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, on Wednesday, 27 January, 2021.

The youths involved are all male aged between 13 and 15 will be reported through the appropriate Youth Justice process.

Two members of the  same group have also been charged in connection with the theft of bins from Kirkgate and vandalism to a motor vehicle on Chalmers Street, Dunfermline on the same date.

“Sergeant Ross Crawford, of the Dunfermline Community Policing Team, said: “These kind acts of vandalism have caused a lot of distress in the community and will not be tolerated. Anyone with information relating to such incidents should contact Police Scotland on 101.”
