Serious assault in Main Street, Renton
Detectives at Clydebank are appealing for information after a 39 year-old man was seriously assaulted in Main Street, Renton on Saturday, 13 February 2021.
Around 9.45pm on Saturday evening, police were called to a report of a 39 year-old man injured after being assaulted by a man in Main Street, Renton. Police and Ambulance attended and the injured man was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for a head injury. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
The man responsible is described as being tall and of stocky build.
Detective Sergeant Bruce Fyfe at Clydebank Police Station said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the local area and gathering CCTV footage to find out more details on this incident and the man responsible.
“We are aware that the area was quite busy at the time and there were witnesses to this incident who have not yet spoken to police. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in area of Main Street, Renton around the time of the serious assault on Saturday night as they may have witnessed something vital to this enquiry.”
